Tuesday and Wednesday, January 22 and 23, the Bering Strait Academic Decathlon Championship will pull students from 5 sites (Stebbins, Unalakleet, Shishmaref, Golovin & Teller) together for a stringent academic competition. Academic Decathlon (AD) is an event that covers a subject area (this year Russia) in ten different disciplines from Math to Music, and Speech to Essays. The 10th and culminating competition is the SuperQuiz which may have items from across the spectrum of knowledge. The students are combined into teams and compete like a TV game show. This final event will be broadcast via the VTC system and we hope that you are able to link up to watch this exciting event.
